The Office and Project Coordinator is a 30 hours/week, benefit eligible role which plays a pivotal role in Cornerstone University's administrative operations, especially within the School of Business and Innovation. This multifaceted role requires a detail oriented and proactive individual that is passionate about operational efficiency and project management.
REPORTS TO: School of Business and Innovation Dean
LOCATION: Grand Rapids, Michigan
SALARY RANGE: $18/hour for 30 hours/week, year-round.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Administrative Support and Coordination
· Provide comprehensive administrative support to the university department, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence.
· Manage office supplies and school-specific inventory while efficiently handling departmental mail, phone calls, and emails.
· Coordinate and support school specific communications, training needs, and accreditation requirements for the school.
· Support the Dean in accomplishing the objectives of the School of Business and Innovation.
· Assists in the coordination efforts of the Ed.D. Program including the dissertation defense process, fall orientation, and spring residency
· Assists in compiling information and data pertaining to the maintenance of ACBSP accreditation
· Collaborates with the Dean in order to drive engagement with prospective SB&I students
· Supports the faculty representative in leading Cornerstone's chapter of Delta Mu Delta (DMD) honor's society
· Oversees and supervises the SB&I Marketing and Communications student worker
· Runs and determines the content posted to the SB&I social media accounts (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
Project Planning and Oversight
· Assist in planning, organizing, and overseeing various projects (as assigned) to support the advancement of the university (i.e., creating project timelines and ensuring deadlines are met).
· Maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant records.
· Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements.
· Identify potential risks and issues that could affect project delivery and communicate these risks clearly.
Event and Academic Support:
· Organize and manage logistics for events, workshops, seminars, and academic activities such as Convocation, Commencement, and Honors Convocation.
· Support faculty management with syllabi collection, course evaluation preparation, and faculty communications.
· Assist in processing attendance verification with Student Financial Services and collaborate with the Registrar's office to schedule courses.
· Conduct research and analysis for projects, contributing valuable insights to support decision-making processes.
Supervision and Support:
· Hire, train, and supervise student workers as needed.
· Support the Dean in leading the Business Student Advisory Council (SAC).
· Support the Dean in leading the Business Advisory Board (BAB).
- Employees are expected to serve as Christian leaders and mentors by effectively living a gospel-centered lifestyle, ministering and discipling through a biblical worldview.
· Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
· Bachelor’s Degree and/or a combination of education and equivalent office experience
- Minimum of 4 years of administrative assistant, coordinator, or business administration experience.
· Outstanding interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
· Ability to prioritize and work effectively under deadlines
· Ability to maintain confidential records and support University policies
- Ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders – university faculty, administration, enrollment, etc.)
