Cornerstone University is a theologically conservative university in Grand Rapids, Michigan invites applications for an affiliate faculty position in English to begin Fall 2024. An Affiliate faculty works up to 18 hours/week for 9 months/year.

Candidates should be able to teach general education English courses in writing and composition and co-requisite courses in grammar and writing. Other courses such as literature or advanced writing are possible according to the candidate’s specialization area. Other responsibilities include scholarly engagement in the candidate’s specialization area, academic advising, committee work, and other departmental duties as assigned.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a relevant degree and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching.

A Masters in Fine Arts (M.F.A.) or Ph.D. is preferred. 

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
