We are seeking a full-time, motivated, and skilled Data Engineer with experience in data analysis and/or engineering to work on our Grand Rapids, Michigan, campus location. The ideal candidate will extract, transform, and load data from ERP systems into a data warehouse; automate data workflows; and maintain data infrastructure. As a member of the Institutional Analytics team, they will contribute to supporting data-driven insights for business and enrollment strategies. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Extract, transform, and load structured and unstructured data from ERP systems and other sources into the data warehouse.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries and scripts to automate data workflows and ensure efficient data processing.
  • Integrate data from various sources to create a unified and accessible data repository.
  • Monitor and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure to ensure smooth and reliable operation.
  • Collaborate with Data Analyst and AVP of Institutional Analytics to provide the necessary data infrastructure for analysis and visualization.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data throughout the ETL process.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field preferred, but not required if the candidate demonstrates proven experience or relevant micro-credentials.
  • 1-3 years of experience in data engineering or data analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and data integration concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to learning and ensuring data quality.

SALARY RANGE: $52,000 - $60,000 per year
