CLASSIFICATION: Part-time, Hourly (24 hours per week)
REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Admissions
LOCATION: Grand Rapids
SUMMARY:
This role supports the Undergraduate Admissions Office with excellent customer service serving guests over the phone, in person, or by email. The must be task oriented with outstanding attention to detail, have excellent interpersonal communication skills, and the desire to collaborate with individuals inside the University community. The core of Cornerstone University is defined and driven by its Christ-centered mission and Biblical confession.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Answers the telephone, screens and directs phone calls for Admissions Main Phone Line.
· Supports Campus Visit Events by sending visit schedules and special appointment details as needed
· Documents all admissions calls and campus visit event communication in Admissions Customer Relationship Management System (CRM).
· Creates excellent first impressions for campus guests.
· Prepares details for large campus visit events through working with Campus Visit Coordinator.
· Establishes and develops relationships with all future students and family members through various forms of communication.
· Organizes and responds to all incoming emails in the Visit CU account.
· Coordinates all individual visit text and email communication to prospective students and their family members.
· Maintains the highest level of confidentiality with all student records.
· Schedules campus visits and sends out confirmation of details to prospective students through CRM.
· Coordinates special visit requests for future students with faculty, staff, and athletic coaches, and documents in the CRM system.
· Develops strategic connections with faculty and staff on campus to effectively coordinate details for admissions events.
· All Cornerstone University employees will regularly interact with students in a variety of projects, activities, and settings. As such all employees are expected to serve as Christian leaders and mentors by effectively living a gospel-centered lifestyle, ministering and discipling through a biblical worldview.
· Other duties may be assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
· Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Experience working in public relations and administrative background, required.
· Excellent writing, critical thinking, and communication skills.
· Developed computer skills with proficiency in using Google documents and Microsoft Excel.
